Think It Not Strange

We Mourn, We Pray and

We Remember: Colorado

My Dear-One became outraged today over the tragic events of the senseless shootings and deaths in Colorado. His anger was huge and directed at the multi-billion-dollar gun lobby that controls our Congress (left/right and center); making it easy for a disturbed individual to buy sophisticated, automatic weaponry.

His anger burned hot for the terrible loss of human life: Women and children; men and boys. His anger was for the shattered wounded. His anger was for what he felt as his own personal helplessness in the face of such a vile and evil act that is occurring much too often in the land that he has loved and defended from his youth as a United States Marine Corporal of the Reconnaissance Division-Korea.

Listening patiently, and in total agreement with his outrage, I began to think of the Lord Jesus: You see, He was born into a corrupt society dominated by the Roman Empire and a jaded, and  compromised Mosaic culture .

In fact, prior to Jesus’ arrival, there had been no other human government that rivaled Rome and it’s mass organization, military might and totalitarian colonization of the ‘then’ known world; with the exception of Egypt’s Pharaonic rule; which paled in comparison to the Roman Empire.

Jesus’ three and half-year ministry punctuated the apex of Romes’ world domination. Our Lords’ twelve disciples were angry and wanted Jesus to take over Rome; end their domination and put Israel back into its’ rightful  power. In fact, we see Judas Iscariot begin to emotionally withdraw from Jesus, because He won’t overthrow Roman government in Judea (for starters); then finally, he decides to simply turn Jesus over to the High Priests for thirty  pieces of silver; since it is clear that a major civil war was not in the Jesus’ plans.

Murder, bribes, injustice, immorality, the cheapening of human life and cruelty were so common place; few rose up to challenge the status quo. All this happened in the presence of our Lord and Savior. What did He want us to know and what shall we do about these things:

12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.                        I Peter4:12-13

The Prophet Isaiah [53:3] described the Lord Jesus approximately four hundred years before He was born in Bethlehem as  “…A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief…”

Many people today in our nation are hurting over this great tragedy in Colorado. Many people are angry and want to “DO” something and you can:  Please look to the Lord Jesus, our Comforter, our Strength; our cool water in a dry and weary land. Only He can give you:  “… the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

In 2 Chronicles 12:15, the Prophet of that day answers the people with the word of God  after a horrific and merciless battle with many dead and wounded; upon hearing of more warriors approaching, saying: 15 …Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

In closing, we join our prayers for peace and comfort with those who mourn and we turn our face to the One who hears and heals. Tennessee Lighthouse Ministries invites you to listen to the anointed voice of our Sister in Christ    singing The Battle Is Not Your…It’s the Lord’s Be Blessed!  Ms. Yolanda Adams

New Car

Buy One Get One Free???

Ever been to a social gathering where there were all kinds of sweets, treats, soft drinks and juices, but no cold water to drink? Yeah, bummer. Then when you ask the host/hostess of this shindig for a glass of water; they look at you with a bit of irritation, march off and bring back this little, rinky-dink cup of warm tap water. Fabulous (not).

Ever find yourself in the store or online and realize that you’ve been filling up your shopping cart with a bunch of needless nonsense? Yup.

Doctor Lightkeeper says that’s a sure sign of needing a tune-up: Pull out your Bible, pray and ask the Holy Spirit what He would have you to know. In no time at all, you will come across a passage of Scripture to fill your cup and quench your thirst (your real thirst). Just like a vehicle; if the engine is running a bit rough, it may be ‘one quart low’ of oil, or the tires need to be inflated; and don’t forget to put some water in the radiator or the car’s running temperature will get all out of whack  and overheat. {out of whack= A highly technical term for stalled}

Let’s see what the word of God has to say about this:

Isaiah 55:1a – “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters…” The Prophet Isaiah exclaimed and declared to us that we can be satisfied by coming to Jesus, the Messiah.

In the Gospel of John 7:37, Jesus declares of Himself: “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.”

Isaiah 55 continues: Vs. 1b “…and he that has no money, come, buy and eat; yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Vs.2– “Why do you spend money for what is not bread? And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance.” NKJV

Has anyone considered that the economic collapse of 2007-2008-2009 in America was God doing us a favor and stopping our over-indulgent, extravagant ways as a nation? (Hey, put that rock down!) Perhaps as a nation we needed a ‘tune-up’? Folks are now buying mostly what they need. There is an entire scale-down, minimalist movement throughout our land. People are reconsidering how they authentically want to spend their life and spend their time.

Resources in our world today are not so much ‘scarce’ as they are polarized and in need of redistribution [floods are causing entire communities to move, while there are many dying of thirst elsewhere, etc.].

It seems that either we voluntarily get our house-in-order or the Lord God steps in to awaken us to the results of our many bad choices.

Things come and things go; it is the love of God that lasts forever. Think: What matters most within a moment of time in our lives? It is probably not something you could buy.

What may be missing from your online or in-store shopping cart is an authentic, heart-to-heart relationship. Start today by asking Jesus to come into your heart, wash it clean, making it shiny and new.  Be Blessed!

God‘s Love: Brand New Every Morning

Do not ever give up on God.

HE is good to you and to me, forever. Never give up on God.

You see, HE isn’t like people who may disappoint you; not like folks that may turn against you. No, God is not like that at all… HE is good.

God is good and He is a rewarder of those who DILIGENTLY seek Him. Bless the name of the Lord our God forever. HE cares about us PERSONALLY and INDIVIDUALLY… this day and forever.

This Lightkeeper testifies that the Lord is good and His mercy endures toward each one of us when we stand fast in His word and in His way.

So if folks or situations are treating you badly; don’t lift a finger against them, but turn speedily to our Heavenly Father and cry out to Him in prayer; He will answer you; He will help you; He will turn the tide to your favor; He will send the help you need; He will expose the truth with a mighty hand… O how great is our God?

None can compare to the God of Abraham… HE IS: The God of little-ole-me. Brothers and Sisters, you can trust Him today. Trust him with your reputation; trust Him with your troubles; trust Him with your all in all… Hold nothing back; then wait upon Him as you bless His Holy name. Wait upon Him like a servant in a good restaurant who watches his customer from a reasonable distance and is quickly at their side to fulfill their every request.

Yes, “wait” upon our God, the Holy One of Israel, the Messiah, our Lord and Savior as a good servant: ready and anticipating the call-to-action. Prepare yourself just as a good navigator who studies the maps, the routes and understands the weather forecasts; the shifting of headwinds and turbulence and how to negotiate oncoming storms… Study, to show yourself approved to wear the title: Servant of the Most High God; Child of the King; the Redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb.

God is good and worthy of our time; worthy of our praise; especially since HE created time… especially since He is in the midst of our praise.

If there is any sacrifice at all, it is the sacrifice of not doing things ‘your way’ and to instead, cast your care upon Him, in anticipation of doing things “His way.” You will not be disappointed. You will rejoice and shout along with me! How Great is our God!

Will you spend some of your time in His word today? It is our reasonable service. It is guaranteed: You will be blessed.

The Lightkeeper is available for: Intercessory Prayer; Biblical Counseling; Guest Speaking; Healing Services; Wedding Official (Tennessee) and friendly chats. We thank you for your free-will offerings to assist this ministry and look forward to sharing the Gospel. Email us today at:  Be Blessed!

Bearing Fruit is seasonal. Bearing fruit happens within an appointed time. After which there is ripeness; which is dependent upon growth; however that can only occur if the plant is able, or has the potential to bear fruit

Ecclesiastes 3:“To ever thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven…”   KJV

The above verse lifted from this famous passage of Scripture continues on to describe a variety of times and seasons in life; leaving us to understand that “timing is everything.”

As seen throughout the Bible, the fig tree is representative of various ‘timings’ and forecasts for many of life’s circumstances.

The fig tree represents:

  • Plenty, Potential and Provision
  • Deuteronomy 8:8; I Kings 4:25; Mark 11:13 and Luke 13:7
  •  Warning; (things that are) Uncharacteristic; Untimely; and Out-of-Season
  • Habakkuk 3:17; Joel 1:7; Luke 21:29 and Revelation 6:13
  •  Fear, Destruction and Non-productive
  • Genesis 3:7; Hosea 2:12; Jeremiah 5:17 & 8:13 and Luke 13:7
  •  Rooted and Settled
  • Zechariah 3:10; Isaiah 36:16; Luke 13:6 and Micah 4:4
  •  In-Season and Timeliness
  • Isaiah 34:4; Isaiah 36:16 (again) and Mark 13:28

In Luke 13:7-9, I believe Jesus is allowing us to eavesdrop into the realm of a ‘type’ of conversation between Father-God and Himself (pre-incarnate):

7 Then he said to the keeper of his vineyard, ‘Look, for three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Cut it down; why does it use up the ground?’ 8 but he answered and said to him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it. 9 And if it bears fruit, well. But if not, after that[a] you can cut it down.’  NKJV

If you’ll recall, on other occasions, Father-God became fed-up with humanity continually producing nothing but evil upon the earth and decided to destroy His creation, but He repented (to stop and change direction) as He did with Adam and Eve; Noah and the Ark; the Tower of Babel; Moses and the Israelites in the desert; Sodom and Gomorrah; the city of Nineveh; and many other times too numerous for this small space.

Jesus is mankind’s last hope and the only One standing between sinful, spiritually unproductive; unrepentant humanity and God’s decree of eternal damnation. That’s it folks; that is the bottom-line; everything else is simply a symptom of a bigger condition: Unrepentant sin.

Jesus came to the earth to pay for our sins. HE fertilized around our individual ground-scape with His shed blood; while the Holy Spirit ‘digs’ and tugs at the corners of our heart continually.

Jesus stands ever-ready so that if we confess to Him our sin; repent of our sin and decide to move our scrawny little feeder-roots into the refreshing water of His Word as our Savior (Jesus: the Word made flesh); we can be strengthened; we can be healed; we can be SAVED. The potential is within our grasp.

If doing things ‘your way’ hasn’t been working out… Let’s pray this prayer together:  “Lord Jesus, thank you for loving me; forgive me for forgetting that;   I ask that You wipe my sins away and receive me as your child. I commit myself fully to you.” Amen†

If you prayed with us today, please drop us a line. Be Blessed!
